Savannah is my little from college, whom I met when I was a senior at Hofstra University. She was so kind, and probably the smartest person I have ever met. Savannah was a pre-PA student at the time, and during her junior year she would essentially graduate from her undergraduate program. After her 21st birthday, and after she started PA school she face-timed me on a random night and told me all about how him. She said there was this “Cute boy in her class that she really wanted to talk to.” Next thing I know I’m getting a snapchat photo of the two of them on their first date!
3 months after their 3 year dating anniversary, Savannah + Erek took a trip to Nassau Bahamas. While on vacation, they were on an outside patio terrace at their resort, the band started to singe the song Perfect by Ed Sheeran. Coincidentally this was the first song they ever slow danced to at their first PA school formal. They took the time to dance together, and when the song ended Erek excused himself to use the restroom. Unbeknownst to Savannah, he ran back to the room to get the ring. Erek originally planned on proposing in the room when they got back, but he could not pass up this beautifully unplanned moment. Then he came back, got down on one knee, and said “Savannah Jane Potter, will you marry me?” And the rest is history!
One of the first stories Savannah ever told me was about her late grandmom, Beeta. Savannah, her family, and Beeta used to rent a house each summer for a week in Ocean City, NJ. She always looked forward to this week, especially to spend time with her Beeta. After her passing, Savannah’s family continues to honor that legacy and visit OCNJ each summer. Savannah did not hesitate to pick where she wanted her photos taken. More specifically somewhere at the Jersey shore!
We agreed that the charm of Cape May with its rich history, and historic architecture was the perfect jumping off point to their session. To kick off their Cape May Engagement Session we started their session in front of the fountain at Rotary Park
Followed by photos on the property of America’s First Seaside Resort Congress Hall!
From there we headed to Higbee Beach to catch the beautiful sunset and end the session by the jetty!
